Don Brecken

Chair of the ASQ Fellows Focus Group and ASQ Deputy Regional Director Michigan

ASQ Fellow, Don Brecken, is the founder and current Chair of the ASQ Fellows Focus Group. 

Don also serves as ASQ Deputy Regional Director for Michigan, Examination Chair for ASQ’s Education Division, and is a member leader serving for ASQ Section 1001 (Grand Rapids, MI). 

He has served the Society on ASQ’s Global Board of Directors, as ASQ Regional Director, and as Vice-Chair of the Section Affairs Council. 

Don also served as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in ’04, ’05, and ’07. He is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Exemplar Global Certified Master Auditor, and an Exemplar Global Certified Skill Examiner. 

Don is the principal consultant and owner of Quality Consulting Services, LLC. He currently performs third-party surveillance and registration audits for TUV Rheinland. 

Don is also an adjunct instructor for Ferris State University, where he has instructed a variety of undergraduate and graduate management courses in quality, strategic management, manufacturing standards, and corporate citizenship. 

He earned an MBA in Strategic Management from Davenport University’s Sneden Graduate School. Don also has four undergrad degrees in business with a Technical Specialty in Quality Leadership. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. in Organizational Analysis at Western Michigan University.
